Weekend Horse Adventure
What a great way to spend a weekend away from home! Experience an ultimate wilderness adventure and be a cowboy or cowgirl for two days.

Friday late afternoon arrival. Before dinner you will have time to settle into your rustic room, and check out the ranch and the horses. After the barbeque dinner sit around the bonfire and enjoy the country air.
Start the next day with a hardy ranch breakfast. After breakfast follows an introduction to horses and back country riding. A brief evaluation and assignment of horses is followed by a short riding instruction in the paddock. This gives you a chance to bond with your horse before heading out on the trails.
Late morning we ride the forest trail leading up the mountain. It takes us into the back country wilderness with a good chance of encountering Canadian wildlife. It is not uncommon to see coyote, deer, bear, bald headed eagle, and grouse.The trail takes us to a lookout point with a stunning view overlooking the valley, where we stop for a picnic lunch and give the horses a rest. |
In the afternoon we head back to the ranch where you can take off your dusty boots and hat and relax, refresh and rejuvenate after the days adventure.
Sunday start again with a ranch breakfast before saddling up the horses. We head out for a morning ride on some rugged trails that lead us to beautiful lookouts above the ranch. We return to the ranch for lunch and departure is Sunday afternoon.
This weekend adventure is suitable for individuals who want to experience something different. It is also suitable as a getaway for couples.
