Silver Spur Trails Wilderness Guest Ranch is a great place for a stop-over during your Canada trip for a real country experience while touring beautiful British Columbia. You will leave the ranch with new impressions and heaps of memories.
Buckaroo Ranch-Stay - All-Inclusive Horseback Riding Vacations Spend a Buckaroo Ranch-Stay and pick your own trip length. A 2 night Ranch-Stay starts at 4 pm on arrival day and guests are welcome to stay until 11am on departure day. No activities at day of arrival and departure. The second day includes an optional riding lesson and a 2 hour trail ride. The program can be customized for longer ranch-stays and include natural horsemanship lessons, bareback riding, guided wilderness hiking, swimming and canoeing at local lakes, gold panning, day trips to shops or rodeos, (depending on the time of year). The Ranch-Stay program might vary according to the season.
Pioneer Ranch-Stay The Pioneer Ranch-Stay Package includes ranch accommodation and all the meals. Wilderness add-on activities like horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, etc are optional and each individually priced. Please check out our Wilderness Add-On Activities list.
Work and Play Ranch Holiday - One week you play, one week you work This 2-week package is a great way to experience the ranch life and to add new dimensions and a new approach to life. The combination of Work and Play will give you the insight what ranch life is all about and will make your holiday an unforgettable one. For the first 3 days of your stay you will be our guest and enjoy our horse activities and ranch programs. A trip to town or to a secluded beach for a swim or canoeing might be on our schedule. Riding lessons are offered and introduction to natural horseman-ship and to learn back country skills. For the next 7 days become a Silver Spur Trails crew member, early rise, feed the horses, clean the corrals, water the garden, help with breakfast and other indoor jobs. The rest of the day will be spent with other chores like fixing or building fences, helping with tourists, saddling horses, being second guide on a trail ride if you have enough riding experience. The final 4 days are "playing" and you can become a guest again, or you might just want to keep working with us for an intensive learning experience. Being willing to work hard and being a team member is absolutely necessary. At Silver Spur Trails, until everyone is done, no one is done.
