Welcome to Silver Spur Trails Wilderness Guest Ranch

YreneYrene

We moved to Western Canada from Switzerland in 1999. Canada was not new to us and we adapted to the Western life style quickly. We chose wilderness adventures and horses to be our way of life. Silver Spur Trails Guest Barn was born in 2003.

The ranch on Creighton Valley Road was sold in September 2007 and we moved to the spectacular Mabel Lake Valley. Surrounded by pristine wilderness, rugged trails and untouched nature we are proud to offer our guests an even better wilderness experience.

We speak mostly English at the ranch which gives European guests the opportunity to combine the Western experience with some English language practice.

Yrene has experienced adventure tourism at fist hand during her seven years in Australia and New Zealand and backpacking through South East Asia. Yrene has also lived and worked in Eastern Canada for some years.

Nadja is 25 years old and she completed her Bachelors Degree of Business Administration. In June of 2010 she moved to Switzerland to acquire work experience in marketing. She is working for an international company and is enjoying the European lifestyle

Kevin (13) is a typical pre-teen who loves to entertain the ranch guests with his jokes. He loves to play games with anyone who is willing and of course gladly accepts any help with his tree-house renovations. Like anyone growing up with horses, Kevin has quite a few interesting pony experiences and stories to talk about.

Kevin is an expert in target shooting and archery and he gives our guests the chance to improve their skills. He also plays guitar and takes guests on short wilderness hikes.

The rest of our Ranch Team are people from over the word who come and work for us during a season.

Our Wilderness Adventures attracts a special kind of guest and they all have one thing in common: a keen sense of adventure and the desire to experience and participate in some new adventures.

The area is considered as the True West of Canada, the cowboy country where genuine cowboys still drive the cattle.

Silver Spur Trails specializes in small groups. This applies to horseback trips and other activities, attractions and events. We offer a total ranch experience for people who like the outdoor. If the above appeals to you, Silver Spur Trails is definitely the right choice for you. And, you will have the experience of a life time!
